Driver Safety Is Cost Effective
Its impossible to guarantee driver safety while out on the road - no matter how much insurance you have and how safe a driver they actually are, accidents can, do, and will happen to individuals of your mobile workforce. But a company can promote safety, can work toward safer driving habits and significantly decrease the personal risk of their mobile employees - in turn reaping huge financial gains.
The financial sense of driver safety
Increased driver safety will do much to lower the overhead for your mobile business:
- Firstly there is the insurance. On their own, driver training courses will significantly reduce the insurance premiums paid on a business insurance plan, and the longer your workforce exhibits these safety habits the lower your premiums will fall.
- Then there are repair costs, or better yet the lack thereof. Paying deductibles is a necessary burden, a burden that lessens with safer driving practices.
- Fuel usage drops appreciably when safer driving habits are in use, as do maintenance costs, through a full-specutrum driver safety program.
But money isn't everything - increased driver understanding and safety leads to less accidents, meaning less to worry about when your mobile employees actually hit the road.
A pledge of allegiance
By encouraging driver safety you are sending a very clear message to your employee drivers that their safety is of paramount concern. They know you also have business reasons for stressing those safety measures, but they will appreciate the concern for their well being and importance to the business as a whole.
